HR Manager/Business Partner - Shanghai
This position is based in Shanghai, China.
The area: Human Resources, Business Partners and Generalists
Human Resources Business Partners (sometimes called HR Generalists) are on the front line of servicing and interacting with our employees. We perform both hands-on and strategic roles in providing human resources expertise in employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, training and more. Our team supports specific organizations, functions and/or geographies, and we embed ourselves within the business to work closely with management and employees on people-related issues. HR Business Partners are also instrumental in initiating and driving HR programs/initiatives within those organizations, placing considerable focus on retention, scaling and culture issues.
The role: HR Manager/Business Partner
HR Business Partners are embedded in our business units and are charged not only to deliver world-class people services but also to work with leadership to execute people strategies to get us to the next level. Responsibilities:
- Deliver HR support to the Google Shanghai office.
- Advise and partner managers and employees in all generalist HR matters, with particular focus on performance management, career development, succession planning, and managing change.
- Implement and run local employee and leadership development programs.
- Partner with teams in delivering and raising awareness on all our core HR processes, facilitating compensation processes, and employee survey feedback and action planning.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record. MBA or Masters a plus.
- At least 10 years of work experience, at least six years of which is in a broad-based HR career.
- Experience working with R&D setup.
- Strong analytical approach, and ability to suggest, develop, execute, and track success of HR projects.
- Hard-working, well-organized, and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Very confident with a proactive and outgoing personality, good communications and listening skills, and a team player attitude.
- Change management experience in an international, highly-matrixed global organization.
